1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site with no ties to a public office. It does not store official records, submit filings, obtain records for a user, or perform an official background check.

Its role is to identify Hall County record custodians, including the sheriff, courts, Texas Department of Public Safety, and Texas Public Sex Offender Registry, and to provide access to outside research tools. Public requests to Hall County agencies are governed by the Texas Public Information Act, Government Code Chapter 552. DPS criminal-history dissemination follows Government Code sections 411.083 and 411.135.

2. Rules for Using This Site

By using the site, you agree not to:

• Use site content to threaten, stalk, or harass a person
• Run a scraper, bot, or other automated collection tool against the pages
• Use content for a hiring, housing, credit, or insurance decision
• Interfere with site speed or another visitor's access
• Seek unauthorized access to any system or account
• Violate federal, Texas, or local law

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information found here or through a linked tool may not be used to stalk, threaten, intimidate, harass, or unlawfully discriminate. Texas Public Sex Offender Registry data receives special protection under Code of Criminal Procedure Chapter 62. Misuse against a listed person or household can carry criminal consequences. Registry access serves public safety, not private enforcement or vigilante acts.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and do not create a credit report, background check, or consumer report. Advertising partners also do not provide an FCRA screening service through these pages. Data from the site or a linked tool may not be used to:

• Decide whether to hire or fire someone
• Screen potential renters or housing applicants
• Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
• Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
• Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules

A check for a regulated purpose must come from Texas DPS where appropriate or from a provider that complies with the FCRA.

5. No Legal Advice

Site content is not legal advice. General information about Hall County records cannot determine how a charge, conviction, warrant, expunction, or nondisclosure rule applies to one case. Ask a licensed Texas attorney for that analysis.

6. No Warranties

All content is offered "as is." There is no guarantee that:

• The information here is accurate, complete, or current at any given time
• The site will stay up and running without interruptions
• Our pages are free of errors, bugs, or security holes
• Results from our partner search tools will be thorough or accurate

Criminal records change as charges are filed, dismissed, restricted, or expunged. Gaps may occur. No page should be treated as an official statement by a court, sheriff, clerk, or other public body.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links can lead to a sheriff, court portal, state agency, legal organization, or outside search service. We do not control those destinations and are not responsible for their content, prices, privacy practices, or availability. Review the destination's terms before use.

8. Intellectual Property

Text, logos, graphics, and code belong to Hall County Criminal History or its content partners. They may not be copied, changed, distributed, or used to make derivative work without prior written consent.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for harm arising from use of the site, its information, or a linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to hold us harmless from a claim, demand, or action caused by your site use or breach of these terms, including related legal fees and costs.

11. Governing Law

Texas law governs these terms. A dispute tied to use of the site must be brought in a court located in Texas.

12. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be revised. A new version takes effect when it is posted here.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be limited or ended at any time, for any reason, without advance notice.

14. Severability

If one term is ruled invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms stay effective. The affected clause will be adjusted only as needed for enforcement.
