This Is Not a Government Office. This is a private reference resource. It cannot obtain criminal records, conduct official checks, change a file, or receive an expunction petition. Contact the responsible government office.
Need an Official Record?
Hall County routes common requests by record type and by the office that created or maintains the file:
- Arrest, booking, jail, and sheriff reports: Hall County Sheriff's Office, 101 S. 9th St., Memphis, TX 79245, 806-259-2151, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
- District and county court files: Hall County District and County Clerk, 512 W. Main St., Suite 8, Memphis, TX 79245, 806-259-2627, Monday-Thursday, 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m., and Friday, 8:30 a.m.-noon
- Texas criminal history and personal review: contact the Texas Department of Public Safety
- City police incident reports: ask the police agency that created the report
- Official background checks: use the appropriate Texas DPS name or fingerprint channel
- Expunction or nondisclosure: file through the court with legal authority over the case
The sheriff and clerk have different files. Call the sheriff for custody or sheriff-created records. Call the combined clerk for filed court cases and certified dispositions. The clerk warns that restoration-related offsite storage can limit older research, so schedule that work before traveling to Memphis.
